Meet Our Pastor -

What a joy it is to serve the people of Kantner United Methodist Church! My journey has been long and winding. I was born in the suburbs of Philadelphia, but fell in love with western Pennsylvania when I began my undergraduate studies in accounting at IUP in 1985. From the moment I arrived in western PA, I knew I’d never go back. I began my professional life as an accountant, and spent 12 years in the business world before being called into full-time ministry. I am in my 18th year as a pastor, having served all over our Conference.
Danielle and I have been married since May 20, 2017. She grew up in Warren, PA, where she lived until we arrived in Stoystown. She is a banker, working in the corporate offices of First Commonwealth Bank in Greensburg. Danielle is also working on her Masters of Social Work at UPJ, with the goal of becoming a licensed counselor, fulfilling her dream to help people through life’s most difficult times. She is also currently a candidate to be an ordained Deacon in The United Methodist Church after she completes her MSW and some additional seminary credits. I have two grown children. Valerie is a Social Worker in Butler, PA, and Russell is attending IUP, following in the footsteps of his favorite dad! From the moment we arrived at Kantner UMC we were blessed by a loving and dedicated church family. Stoystown became our home very quickly.
